HPR enabling significant cost savings
Aurecon has released a new report on HPR’s performance in 2019. The study highlights the significant contributions made by the system to support the National Electricity Market (NEM) and deliver savings to all electricity consumers.
Testing on the expansion has commenced
Testing of the 50MW/64.5MWh expansion of the Hornsdale Power Reserve has commenced. Testing will check that the battery is operating safely and meets the performance standards as intended.

The EES referral document along with preliminary technical investigations can be viewed on the Victorian Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning’s website from 26th July 2019.
HPR fully installed and energised!
The Hornsdale Battery has now been fully installed and energised! The battery has undergone its first charges and discharges into the grid on Saturday 25th November.
HPR Connection Agreement signed
The project Connection Agreement has been signed with ElectraNet the Transmission Network Service Provider and approved by the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO)
